Today, our new webserver, plantsmallrnagenes.psu.edu, became operational! The aim of this site is to provide an easy to use interface to query and download our annotations of small RNA-producing genes in various plant species. The site includes a full genome-browser, powered by JBrowse, bulk data downloads for small RNA-seq alignments and annotations tracks (based on ShortStack analyses), as well as tools to enable specific queries of individual loci of interest.
At present, there are data for just one species, the moss Physcomitrella patens, in support of our ongoing studies of the small RNAs in this species. In the coming months, however, look for the addition of more plant species, more data, and more tools with which to analyze the data.
